So, why am I here?

My goal is to spread God's love through my trials and struggles. Overcoming my past of emotional abuse and dealing with daily physical struggles that often lead to emotional struggles, I get open and raw. I'm here to encourage and I hope to help others that may be going through what I did or what I am. This is my ministry. I speak God's truth, through His word and my experiences.

Being a Medical Zebra

The very first thing I was diagnosed with was Degenerative Disc Disease. Not odd or rare. But getting that diagnosis, along with arthritis up and down my spine at the young age of 30, is a bit odd. It was in 2014, that I got the diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I actually took my son to a geneticist to find out what was causing his pain and he was diagnosed with it, and so was I. My official diagnosis came in 2018. The type that we have is an "interesting" crossover, Classical Type, with Vascular crossovers.

After that diagnosis, it is a blur of diagnosis's. Chronic migraines. Nummular Headache Disorder (a rare headache disorder-I have a stabbing headache, all day, every day). POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). Dysautonomia. And on and on and on.......

My blogging life...

My first blog was born out of my needing a place to vent and share my experiences with others. It grew from there. I have been writing for several years now. Run on Coffee and Grace was born out of love and support from my amazing husband and mother, without whom I would not accomplish anything. I share raw, personal experiences. I share the love of my Lord and Savior. I hope that others are able to find the same hope that I have found. Ephesians 2:8-9
